My professional background includes working in the fields of psychology, drug and alcohol counselling, human services accreditation, education, midwifery and nursing. I am a Registered Psychologist (College of Psychologists of British Columbia #1333) and have held positions such as the Director of Substance Use and Mental Health in the BC Provincial Government and as a university Research Associate and author of published peer-reviewed journal articles. I have earned a Nursing degree, a BA, MA, and PhD, receiving a number of scholarships and a fellowship. I have participated in extensive advanced training and professional development activities.
